Chat Guidelines

You must be a registered user before chatting. Please use the same user name and password in the chat room and comment (Tales) area. At this time we are unable to combine the two for one registration.

User names and passwords from the forum registry list will serve as the established list of users. This means if you register in the forum under a particular user name and someone has already used that name in the chat area, your rights to that user name will be honored.

The Village moderators will override the duplicate username in order for you to have matching information.

Please make things easier on our moderators by registering for both at the same time. If you find that someone in the chat area has already taken your registered forum name, please contact village@rapunzelsforest.com. Include your username and password, so we can manually enter these on the administration page.

If you receive an email that your chat name must be changed, please understand that Rapunzel's Forest must have a main list of registered users. Duplicate usernames will only make things complicated in the long run.

Hopefully in the the near future, we will be able to combine the two and this will no longer be necessary.

Chat Room Policies

1- NEVER give any personal information out to users of this site. This includes real names, emails, addresses and phone numbers. We realize that some of you may meet people in your local area and want to meet or contact each other off site. At this time, we have no way to monitor users real identities and therefore, cannot be accountable for who people say they are. There are moderators on the site. The are not professional detectives or trained in internet security. If it is found that users are sharing personal information, moderators will do what is in their power and ban users from participating in the interaction sections of our site.

2-Please remember this is a support site. There are no dumb questions or silly concerns. Users have the right to be treated with respect. Any inappropriate remarks or cyber-bullying will not be tolerated.

3-Please do your best in using appropriate language in the chat room. Use your common sense and try not to offend anyone.

We do archive all chat conversations and IP addresses are logged. If there is a problem please let us know ASAP, so we can go back and check it out.
